Welder - 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY:
The welder sets up, adjusts and operates welding equipment to join various production materials both to
meet production specifications, and in accordance with welding requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Performs basic welding work, to specifications, as part of the manufacturing process.
• Performs set-up of welding equipment and safety devices in accordance with production documentation.
• Positions production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to print specifications.
• Properly adjusts and operates welder according to prescribed methods and procedures.
• Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
• Performs work in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met.
• Ensures that products and systems meet Schroff quality specifications.
• Performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balance.
• Selects and moves production materials as required.
• Lifting/moving material up to 75 lbs.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Notifies team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations,
materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
• Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
• Welding certificate, or equivalent experience, preferred
• Ability to read and write, in order to comply with written instructions and complete job-related paperwork.
• Two years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication facility and familiarity with metric blueprint
dimensioning preferred.
