Registered Nurse - LTAC

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in a High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) specializing in ventilator, pulmonary, and acute rehabilitation services. Deliver 24/7 respiratory, diagnostic, and medical treatments to patients with complex medical conditions, ensuring safe and effective care transitions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing interventions for patients requiring respiratory support and acute rehabilitation.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac and neurological status, to promptly identify changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies on attendance, punctuality, and holiday coverage.
• Complete all required virtual modules on first day of the contract and annually thereafter.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and clinical observations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Maryland or Compact nursing license at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in high-acuity or critical care settings; 1 year for other specialties.
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate the ability to work flexible shifts, including night and every-other-holiday schedules.
• Be able to float within the hospital as needed.
• Provide professional references upon request.
