Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures with at least 1 year of IR experience for a Surgical Services department.

Details

• Surgical Services department performing interventional radiology and special procedures
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 3 days per week, totaling 36 hours weekly
• Call coverage required
• Uses imaging equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology experience
• Current BLS certification required
• State Radiology Technologist License required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT (VI) certification preferred, or required within 18 months of hire
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency with imaging equipment, PACS, and Epic
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality standards
• Skilled in patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control

Additional Information

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with department guidelines
• Communicate exam details to patients and address patient anxiety using age-appropriate communication skills
• Supervise students providing patient care as part of their training
• Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education
• Take a customer service approach with internal and external customers while complying with confidentiality requirements
