Position Title: Prophetic Tarbiyah Counselor Location: The Muraqaba School, Frisco, TX Position Type: Part-Time/Full-Time | Academic Year 2026–2027 Reports To: Principal Muraqaba School is seeking a dedicated Prophetic Tarbiyah Counselor to serve as a servant leader in our community. This unique role focuses on cultivating students’ hearts, minds, and spirits by aligning behavioral development and character education with our HEART- centered on Prophetic tarbiyah principles and the Islamic worldview. Position Overview The Prophetic Tarbiyah Counselor mentors students in their emotional and character growth. You will collaborate with educators and families to foster a culture of excellence, compassion, and holistic development rooted in Islamic values. Key Responsibilities Prophetic Behavioral Guidance: Implement behavior strategies rooted in Prophetic character; support students in self-regulation, accountability, and restorative justice. Character Education: Design initiatives to nurture virtues (sabr, shukr, honesty); integrate Quranic teachings into daily life; teach high school students twice weekly. Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Develop programs for emotional intelligence and conflict resolution while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment. Counseling; Crisis Support: Provide individual and group sessions for students facing challenges and developing compassionate crisis intervention plans. Family Engagement: Partner with parents through workshops and resources to reinforce Islamic values and character development at home. Qualifications & Competencies Education: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in student counseling, behavior management, or character education. Expertise: Deep knowledge of Islamic values, Prophetic guidance, and SEL frameworks. Skills: Strong leadership in mentoring students and proficiency in educational technology.
