Core Services Greenroofs Stormwater Management Growing Medium Componentry Maintenance Full-service erosion control Job Summary The Field Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget and schedule. The Field Manager works closely with Operations leaders, the sales team, estimators, administrative staff, customer contacts, and multiple crew team leaders, and interfaces with customer staff including foremen to confirm site readiness for installation of erosion control measures. Duties & Functions Maintain construction schedules and perform regular updates by communicating those schedules to crew leaders and office staff. Meet periodically with the crew leaders and each crew member to ensure they understand good company practices, safety guidelines, field procedures, and correct time sheet completion. Ensure crew and leaders correctly fill out time sheets and worksheets to document hours worked for payroll and invoicing. Negotiate/coordinate company work with clients, including municipal authorities, in conjunction with information provided by the vice president and office staff. Coordinate job site logistics and conduct field inspections ahead of crew arrival, communicating any site issues to customers and staff, and redirecting crews if necessary. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Review equipment status for each crew, identify maintenance needs, and work with Operations leadership and mechanics to ensure proper maintenance or repair. Foster the development of crew leaders so they can become future Field Managers. Lead by example, give crew leaders opportunities to expand company success, and promote a culture of integrity, ingenuity, and honesty. Qualifications & Standards Maintain and encourage good relationships with crew/crew leaders and customer field staff. Professionally represent the company in interactions with customers, office, and field staff. Manage time effectively, balancing 50% field and 50% office work to oversee projects while handling administrative tasks. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with attention to detail and focus on delivering high‑quality results. Serve as an example of integrity, ingenuity, and honesty to the crew and crew leaders. Never ask anything of crew or crew leaders that the Field Manager is not willing to do themselves. Always adhere to company safety guidelines and ensure those led also follow them. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various construction sites as required.
