Travel RN - Neuro ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience with a strong neuro checklist and stroke experience. Requirements Active RN license (MO or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with a strong neuro checklist required Stroke experience required CPI certification preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation preferred Experience with continuous IV sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration required Skilled in CVA/acute stroke management; EVD, ICP monitoring, post neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury care preferred Experience with infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and phlebotomy preferred Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management skills required IV insulin protocol experience preferred Heparin drip management skills required Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs Responsibilities bed NSICU (Neuro Intensive Care Unit) within a hospital setting Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Every other weekend required, with 50% weekend and holiday coverage Mandatory floating to ICU and Med Surg units Cerner charting system preferred Provide critical care nursing to neuro ICU patients including post-neurosurgical and stroke populations Work in a healthcare facility operating 24/7, 365 days a year, with routine exposure to contagious illnesses Rotating shifts required, including holidays and inclement weather coverage Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate Maximum RTO (requested time off) of 10 days First-time travelers are not preferred for this role Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
