Core Faculty OBGYN Position

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician to become a part of the core faculty for our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program. This program, primarily situated at the Willowbrook campus, accommodates five residents annually, totaling 20 over the course of the program. Additionally, Texas A&M Medical Students engage in rotations and contribute to the educational activities of our residents. Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal communication skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach.

• Experience in administrative roles and academic preceptorship within graduate medical education is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide active leadership and oversight for the daily clinical requirements of Obstetrics and Gynecology patients.

• This role will involve a combination of direct patient care, teaching and supervising OBGYN residents, as well as administrative responsibilities.

• Act as attending faculty in the residency continuity clinic, guiding residents in their training.

• Foster and maintain an educational atmosphere that supports resident training across all ACGME competency areas.

• Engage regularly in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs, and conferences.

• Contribute to scholarly activities and quality improvement initiatives alongside residents.

• Participate in shared night and weekend on-call duties with other faculty members and a local private practice OBGYN, including at least one 14-hour weekday and one 24-hour weekend call each month.
