About the Position

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 4 years required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, CNMT Must-Have: EPIC charting experience preferred Experience with adults and in nuclear cardiology Experience in MUGA scans, SYP scans, and exercise/pharmacological stress studies Description: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures. These procedures include MUGA scans, SYP scans, and stress studies. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in nuclear medicine. Experience with patients of various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, is required. Candidates should be proficient in storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials. The role requires starting and maintaining IVs and drawing venous blood. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and willing to float within their skill set. Knowledge of Epic charting is preferred but not mandatory. Flu vaccination is required, and there are no exemptions. Travelers may be called off once per pay period. If placed on call, there is a 60-minute call back requirement. The daily census typically involves 20-22 studies.
