Team Member – Relocation Services and Estate Sales Caring Transitions of Apex and Cary helps clients make smooth and stress‑free transitions from one living situation to another. We specialise in relocation, downsizing, decluttering, home clean‑outs and liquidations through online estate sales. We are looking for dependable, compassionate and detail‑oriented people who enjoy hands‑on work and take pride in helping others in the East Valley, Cary, Apex, Pittsboro, Raleigh and surrounding areas in North Carolina. Roles and Responsibilities Work on a team to downsize, relocate clients and liquidate unneeded items. Organise, pack, unpack and resettle clients in their homes or senior living communities. Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and clean‑out. Use hand‑held devices to create, photograph and describe items. Sort, organise, give descriptions and handle items for resale. Assist buyers during on‑site pickup and sales. Stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 25 lb, hang items at or above 4 ft, pack/unpack and label boxes, climb stairs, carry supplies and moving boxes to/from vehicles and within a home or outbuilding. Note that we are not movers; we use professional movers for furniture and items over 25 lb. Follow best practices, health and safety requirements and company guidelines. Qualifications & Skills Compassion and respect for clients and their families. Strong verbal communication skills and fluent English. Ability to complete tasks and work in fast‑paced, changing environments. Willingness to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments (we provide gloves, etc.). Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills. Punctual and attentive to detail. Consistently reliable transportation and a smartphone for scheduling, time‑keeping and project duties. 18 years or older with a valid Driver’s Licence. Must live within a 30‑mile radius of Apex. What We Offer Starting pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Paid training. Company‑supplied uniform shirts. Bi‑weekly pay via direct deposit. Hours / Scheduling This is a project‑based, part‑time role with flexible scheduling. Hours vary based on client projects, team availability and business needs. Flexible schedules with part‑to‑full‑time hours are available. All team members must have wide‑ranging availability during Monday‑Friday daytime business hours and weekends as needed. Scheduling is based on the client’s needs, team members’ availability and the skill set required for the project(s). Job Type Part‑time (Day Shift) Benefits Flexible schedule.
