Overview

Location: 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058 Pay: $19.00 – $22 an hour Schedule Options:

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Shift Options:

• 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• 12:30 PM to 10:30 PM

Join a mission-driven, trauma-informed, patient-centered team supporting adolescents (12–17) in mental health treatment, recovery, and life-skills development . As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you’ll partner with licensed clinicians to provide direct patient care, crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and therapeutic engagement .

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group activities (art, music, recreation) to build coping skills
• Provide behavioral support, mentoring, and structured routines
• Use evidence‑based, trauma‑informed care techniques
• Document progress and collaborate with clinical teams
• Respond to escalations using safe intervention protocols

Qualifications

• 21+ with HS diploma/GED (degree in human services preferred)
• 1+ year in behavioral health, education, coaching, or youth services (preferred)
• Willingness for CPR/First Aid, physical intervention training (provided)
• Ability to stand, move quickly, and support crisis stabilization
• Must pass background and drug screening per MO law
• Bonus for prior mental health or youth experience
