KettenWulf, Inc. serves North America and South America.WAGES $70,000 - $80,000/yearPOSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIESKettenWulf seeks a Technical Buyer to join the growing U.S. subsidiary of KettenWulf, based in Auburn, AL. This role is responsible for coordinating all processes and activities related to accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting for the U.S. subsidiary in close cooperation with the Finance Department at KettenWulf's factory headquarters in Eslohe, Germany. The position is an in-person role.Primary Responsibilities:Support in the establishment of a new plantDevelopment supplier network for manufacturing operation including suppliers for raw materials, semi-finished parts, consumables, services and capital assetsDevelop and follow process for Requests for Quotations (RFQ) to solicit multiple bids according to relevant criteria from engineering, operations, and production personnelCompare and evaluate suppliers' quotes; seek negotiation opportunitiesConduct regular forecasting of future demand for materialsGenerate and release purchase orders to vendors and track orders until goods delivery and invoicingClose collaboration with international locationsSupport supplier audits when requiredJob RequirementsBachelors' degree mechanical engineering with additional business management knowledge or business studies with additional technical qualificationsTechnical experience in the field of manufacturing technology and metalsAt least 3 years work experience as purchaser or similar position in the industrial environmentNegotiating experience to identify and leverage cost savings opportunitiesExperience in working with SAP, proficient in MS OfficeOrganizational talent as well as an analytical, structured and effective way of workingGerman language skillsYour willingness to dive in and become a part of the success of a diverse, international, and rapidly growing team.What we offer:Competitive base salary + annual retention bonusCompany-paid health insurance for employees and partial coverage for dependentsCompany-paid dental & vision insurance for employees and dependentsCompany-paid group life insurance and short-term disability coverage401(k) retirement plan with immediate vesting and company matchHealth savings account option for eligible employeesGenerous paid time off including vacation, sick days, and company holidays.
