Medical Lab Scientist – Chemistry
Night shifts available: 8 hours (2200-0630 / 2300-0730) or 10 hours (2000-0630 / 2100-0730) or 12 hours (1800-0630 / 1900-0730). Training on day shift for the first 3-4 weeks. Weekend requirements: Every other Friday and Saturday night, option for weekends only (Friday-Monday night). Holiday requirements: Based on unit needs.
Contract Length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed Hours: Not specified.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Lab Scientist. Hematology & Chemistry experience required. Active MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) certification or MLT from ASCP. Experience with the following instruments preferred: Beckman automation line, AU 5800, AU 680, DxH 900, DxH 800, DxI 800, Cobas e801, TOP720, ABL 825 FLEX, Iris Velocity, Iris iQ200. Familiarity with software: Beaker and AMS.
Nicotine-free facility. Orientation: Attend training sessions at a specified date and time. Facility allows the cancellation of two shifts per month at no cost to the facility and no pay to the contractor, with a minimum 2-hour notice required. Bi-weekly pay with an 8-hour non-billable orientation.
