Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide patient care in the emergency room, handling a diverse range of acute cases in a critical access hospital setting. Ensure high-quality, efficient nursing support during shifts, maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver emergency nursing care to patients with varying acute conditions.
• Collaborate with medical teams to implement treatment plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage IV therapy and medication administration.
• Respond quickly to patient emergencies, providing life-saving interventions.
• Support patient and family education regarding care and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Strong EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of med-surg or emergency room nursing experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
• CPR and ACLS certification required.
