Branch Manager

Serve as the branch sales leader, acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships Drive growth in checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to improve banker productivity Foster an engaged and accountable culture focused on identifying customer financial needs Recommend Wells Fargo consumer and business solutions Balance growth objectives with operational risk management Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning into a Branch Manager position, unless already serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager Build and retain a high-performing team through clear expectations and targeted coaching Lead the branch team in delivering tailored consumer and business solutions Use observation, feedback, follow-up, reporting, and employee observations to improve performance Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending sales partners Educate customers about digital banking options Manage risk, resolve issues, and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company Requirements 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education 2+ years of leadership experience Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth Ability to analyze performance, identify strengths and opportunities, and execute action plans Independent judgment and critical thinking skills Ability to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment Experience managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments Ability to identify complex financial needs and build relationships with customers, internal partners, and community stakeholders Ability to lead teams in influencing, educating, and connecting customers to technology Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before placement in a specific branch SAFE registration required at the time of employment Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies regarding financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background Must not require Visa sponsorship Core Competencies Demonstrates strong leadership in banking and financial services, with a focus on driving sales growth and developing high-performing teams.
