Are you passionate about making a difference in a therapeutic educational setting? Brookwood Academy Therapeutic Day Program is looking for dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year!
We are seeking educators who thrive in alternative environments and are committed to supporting students in either Middle School (6th–8th) or High School (9th–12th) grades.
Key Responsibilities
Individualized Instruction: Provide specialized teaching aligned with IEP goals for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
Environment Building: Create a structured, supportive, and therapeutic classroom atmosphere.
Collaboration: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and behavior specialists, to ensure student success.
Documentation: Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of student performance.
Qualifications
Valid Special Education teaching certification.
Experience in a therapeutic, behavioral, or alternative school setting (preferred).
Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
A proven ability to build positive, lasting relationships with students and staff.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $42.25/hour (Estimated $1,200 weekly take-home before tax).
Benefits: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage through UnitedHealthcare (UHC).
Schedule: Full-time for the 2026–2027 academic year.
