Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is actively hiring an Admissions and Intake Registered Nurse (RN). We are seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled RN to join our Intake and Admissions team as a PRN. This role is critical in helping individuals and families access timely behavioral healthcare services while ensuring high-quality clinical assessment and admissions decisions. There also might be times that you will be helping out with the units and leading groups.

The Admissions and Intake Registered Nurse will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments
• Evaluate patients for appropriate levels of care and admissions criteria
• Perform crisis intervention and risk assessments
• Coordinate and collaborate for all necessary information with physicians and other staff

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will:

• Serve children and adolescents, adults and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral healthcare focused on individual needs and comfort.
• Create more than 200 new, full-time jobs including nurses, clinicians, therapists, technicians and administrative staff, when the facility is fully operational.
• Be located at the intersection of I-70 and Little Blue Parkway, adjacent to the Children's Mercy Hospital Outpatient Clinics.
• Feature 120 licensed beds ready to meet the mental health needs of the surrounding community.
• Span more than 88,000 square feet, and will include an activity yard and gym.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure for the state of Missouri or Compact
• Experience in behavioral health, assessments, crisis intervention, and admissions preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to work 12 hour shifts
