Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor Location: Bloomfield, CT Industry: Food Distribution Center Salary: $60,000 - $63,000 annually Schedule Options: Shift 1: Start time 3:00 PM Shift 2: Start time 11:00 PM

Position Summary The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and food safety processes within a fast-paced food distribution center. This role ensures products meet regulatory standards, company guidelines, and customer expectations while leading and developing a team of quality control associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily quality control operations within the distribution center
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards
• Conduct routine inspections of products, storage areas, and handling processes
• Monitor temperature controls, sanitation practices, and product integrity
• Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints and non-conformances
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits and internal records
• Lead, train, and coach QC team members to ensure consistent performance and adherence to standards
• Partner with warehouse and operations teams to improve quality processes and efficiency
• Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented

Qualifications

• 25 years of experience in quality control or food safety, preferably in a food distribution or warehouse environment
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment (including refrigerated areas)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality tracking systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in cold storage environments
