Purpose:This role reports to the SEC Reporting Manager and works independently with peers and leaders across the organization to prepare and analyze the company's SEC financial statements, management reports, and related financial statement disclosures to ensure their accuracy and integrity. Accountabilities:
- Perform US GAAP financial statement preparation, ensuring financial statements and supporting footnotes adhere to US GAAP requirements.
- Coordinate work requirements and deadlines with internal departments and stakeholders.
- Research and resolve variances and inconsistencies noted in financial information by conducting initial analysis and applying accounting techniques.
- Research and interpret SEC and US GAAP accounting disclosure guidance.
- Perform analytics of financial statements and related disclosures.
- 4+ years of experience in public accounting or SEC reporting in the insurance industry, or relevant professional experience, preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from research and report on findings.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Completion of or interest in obtaining CPA and/or FLMI designations preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
