The Sales Development Manager is both an active sales producer and team leader. You'll be responsible for achieving personal production goals while coaching, training, and developing team members to improve performance. This role is designed for someone with demonstrated sales success who enjoys developing others, embraces accountability, and wants to play a meaningful role in the growth of our agency. What You'll Do: Produce & Lead by Example Maintain an active sales pipeline and generate new business Conduct customer review and needs-based appointments Identify insurance and financial services opportunities Meet or exceed personal production expectations Model effective sales and customer conversations Coach & Develop the Team Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and role-play Strengthen team members' discovery, recommendation, and closing skills Support onboarding and development of new team members Identify performance barriers and development opportunities Reinforce agency sales processes, standards, and expectations Improve Team Performance Facilitate sales training and skill development Monitor sales activity and performance trends Share and reinforce best practices Help improve conversion rates and sales effectiveness Promote ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement What We're Looking For Demonstrated success in a sales environment Strong communication and coaching skills Ability to lead by example through accountability and consistent execution Understanding of consultative, needs-based selling Ability to facilitate training, role-play, and development conversations Strong organization and follow-through Coachable, adaptable, and committed to professional growth Ability to balance personal production with team development Formal management experience is valuable but not required. This role is well suited for a proven sales professional ready to take greater responsibility for developing others and influencing team performance. Licensing Requirements: This position requires appropriate insurance licensing. The Sales Development Manager must obtain and maintain: Property & Casualty Insurance Producer License Life & Health Insurance Producer License Candidates must be willing and able to successfully complete the licensing requirements necessary to perform the role.
