Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ growth and success as an Occupational Therapist for a thriving school community near Riverside, CA. Enjoy a fulfilling contract assignment covering a maternity leave, scheduled to begin January 4th and extend through the end of the academic year. Experience the energy of working with diverse learners from preschool through 8th grade, guiding their development across two elementary schools and a middle school.
In this role, you’ll manage a manageable caseload of approximately 55 students, working closely with a dedicated COTA to provide high-quality services. Your day will run from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, following the district’s established school calendar.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid CA Occupational Therapist license and NBCOT certification.
- Previous school-based OT experience is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting diverse populations from preschool to middle school.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and support personnel.
- Proven organizational skills to handle documentation, scheduling, and caseload management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ needs relating to occupational therapy goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to support student participation and access to curriculum.
- Track and document student progress, adhering to district and compliance guidelines.
- Provide consultation and support for staff regarding accommodations and strategies.
- Supervise and collaborate with a COTA to ensure quality of service delivery.
