Security Officer- Emergency Medical Technician - Part- Time

Emergency Medical Technician/Security GuardCore Responsibilities:Performs direct illness/injury assessment and management, preparation for transport, transfer of information, and patient careAttends emergency medical requests as they arise, and renders assistance to ill or injured internal/external guestsFollows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectivesContinuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standardsInspects emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standardsCompletes and transfers patient care information and records per established proceduresCompletes all paperwork and reports and required by all State and Federal regulations.Patrols buildings and grounds of facility on foot and/or in security vehicle; examines doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure; controls the various entry/exit locations throughout controlled areas as assigned.Staffs' areas to assure compliance with state laws and facility regulationsDirects visitors and vendors to appropriate locationsWarns violators of rule infractions and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal actsObserves and reports procedural violations and illegal activityRole model company guest service programOther duties as assigned.Qualifications/Requirements:Current EMT certificationMinimum 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED requiredMust be able to obtain a New York State Gaming LicenseMust be able to obtain NYS Security Guard LicenseOther:Must be able to work holidays, weekends, nights as neededAble to lift and carry excessive weightMust be able to maintain current EMT certificationAbility to communicate with othersAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentMinimum computer skills, including e-mail, word, excel spreadsheets, data input and record keepingLicenses & Certifications:Required:Security Guard - UnarmedSecurity Guard - EMTEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
