Travel RN - Cath Lab/EPAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/Pre-Post-Op RN for a Days position requiring Cath Lab and recovery experience with IA or compact RN licensure.Works in the Cardiac Holding Area, a 19-bed pre/post-op unitCares for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and possibly EP proceduresNurse to patient ratio of 1:3Performs groin and radial site management, including TR band managementUses EPIC EMRDays shift, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts starting as early as 0600, 40 hours per weekNo weekend or on-call requirementsFloating required, possibly to Vascular Holding and Diagnostic CardiologyHoliday rotation requiredActive RN license (IA or compact) requiredCurrent BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications requiredMinimum 15 months of Cath Lab, critical care, and/or PACU experience in a hospital or medical center setting requiredPre and post-op/recovery experience requiredEPIC EMR experience requiredGroin and radial site management experience requiredTR band management experience required24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Pre/Post Op Surgery experience required on work historySkills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Pre/Post Op requiredDriver's license document required for considerationFirst-time travelers welcomed with at least 36 months of experienceRecent or current Cardiac Cath or Cardiac post-op care experience highly preferredOne professional supervisory reference/performance evaluation within the last 24 months highly preferredPrimary assignment is Cardiac Holding with float assistance to Vascular Holding and possibly Diagnostic CardiologyRequired to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closedMust reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be consideredPast UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) cannot work travel assignments at other UPH markets regardless of current or recent employment within the past 12 months
