Principal Architect, Salesforce & AI

Salary: $110,500 - 220,990 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, platform architecture, solution architecture, or a similar technology leadership capacity.
• We require 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and governing Salesforce solutions in complex, multi-business-unit or multi-org environments.
• We need deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, including security, identity, integrations, data architecture, automation, platform scalability, and application lifecycle management.
• We expect proven experience defining enterprise technology strategies, architecture roadmaps, governance models, and platform operating frameworks.
• We require experience architecting AI-enabled solutions, including governance, responsible AI, agent-based designs, data readiness, privacy, security, and human oversight.
• We look for a track record of influencing executive stakeholders and guiding cross-functional decisions in large enterprise settings.
• We require experience leading and mentoring globally distributed architecture and engineering teams.
• We need strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented recommendations.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA).
• Preferred: Salesforce Certified System Architect and Application Architect certifications.
• Preferred: experience with enterprise integration platforms.
• Preferred: strong background in DevSecOps, CI/CD, release governance, platform observability, and cloud security.
• Preferred: experience building or leading a Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Preferred: experience in highly regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, life sciences, financial services, or manufacturing.
• Preferred: experience supporting global enterprise platforms with multi-region delivery teams.

• We define and continuously evolve our enterprise Salesforce platform strategy, target-state architecture, and multi-year technology roadmap.
• We establish a unified architecture vision across Sales, Service, Experience, Integration, Data, Automation, and AI capabilities.
• We maintain end-to-end visibility across Salesforce orgs, shared services, integrations, data domains, platform dependencies, technical debt, and operational risk.
• We shape architectural approaches for enterprise AI adoption, including agent-based capabilities, intelligent automation, data readiness, governance, and human oversight.
• We assess emerging Salesforce, AI, and cloud capabilities and determine their strategic fit and business value.
• We identify opportunities for platform consolidation, modernization, standardization, and cost optimization.
• We align platform investment decisions with enterprise goals such as scalability, security, reliability, agility, and operational efficiency.
• We guide technology investment priorities across the Salesforce ecosystem.
• We lead architecture governance through the Design Authority, Architecture Review Board, Salesforce Center of Excellence, and enterprise governance forums.
• We define and maintain enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, reusable patterns, guardrails, and decision frameworks.
• We govern architecture across application development, integrations, data architecture, identity, security, DevSecOps, AI services, automation platforms, and operational tooling.
• We partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data, and Integration teams to keep our approach aligned with enterprise standards.
• We drive consistency across business domains while balancing innovation, delivery speed, and operational risk.
• We manage architecture exceptions, decision records, and platform standards documentation.
• We resolve complex cross-domain architecture challenges and influence strategic technology decisions across the enterprise.
• We own architecture accountability for platform scalability, performance, resilience, maintainability, security, and operational health.
• We establish measurable platform health indicators covering technical debt, release quality, security posture, adoption, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• We lead architecture strategy for environments, release management, DevSecOps practices, testing frameworks, observability, and operational readiness.
• We ensure our architecture standards are reflected in production implementations through design reviews and governance checkpoints.
• We drive continuous improvement focused on simplification, automation, reliability, and engineering productivity.
• We sponsor reusable assets, accelerators, integration frameworks, and architecture playbooks.
• We provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects and senior engineers across global, distributed teams.
• We influence executive stakeholders and technology leaders by clearly communicating architecture strategy, risks, investment priorities, and business outcomes.
• We develop architecture capabilities, succession plans, and technical excellence programs across internal teams and strategic partners.
• We foster a culture of engineering discipline, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• We act as the primary escalation point for complex architecture decisions affecting our enterprise Salesforce ecosystem.
