Key Responsibilities Manage civil litigation matters from discovery through trial. Conduct discovery and evaluate liability, damages, and overall case strategy. Prepare cases for trial, including witness and exhibit preparation. Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery papers, and appellate submissions. Appear in state courts and argue motions. Handle bench trials and other courtroom proceedings. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and other parties. Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff. Manage multiple matters and meet demanding deadlines. Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey. At least 2 years of general civil litigation experience . Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications 2-7 years of general litigation experience , particularly involving substantive legal writing and trial preparation. Prior courtroom and trial experience. Experience drafting and arguing motions. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, solve problems, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
