Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Unit: Level II NICU with 5 beds in a hospital setting. Patient population includes neonates with prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), TTN, hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, sepsis workup, IUGR, and NAS. Travel experience preferred; local candidates are not eligible due to a 50-mile radius rule. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,658–$1,743 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Contract duration: Weeks travel assignment Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour Start date: 09/08/2026 Unit: Level II NICU, 5-bed neonatal unit Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to neonates in a Level II NICU setting, including intake, assessment, and ongoing monitoring Manage ventilator/CPAP/BiPAP/high-flow oxygen therapy and adjust settings as ordered Perform UAC/UVC care and maintain peripheral IV lines; administer medications and IV fluids per protocol Administer phototherapy and support thermoregulation; assist with enteral feeding (gavage/NG feeds) and breast/bottle feeding as indicated Conduct sepsis workups, administer antibiotics/antivirals, and handle blood products per orders Monitor for prematurity-related issues (RDS, hyperbilirubinemia, hypoglycemia), document APGAR scores, and participate in rounds and care planning Document in Epic and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; may float to Baby Nurse as needed Requirements Active RN license in New Jersey or a compact license in hand at time of submittal Certifications: BLS and NRP or NRP Advanced (STABLE listed) Neonatal/NICU experience; Level II NICU experience preferred; 2 years’ experience preferred Epic charting experience required Travel experience preferred; ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts in a NICU setting; may float to Baby Nurse as needed Benefits and Support Dedicated recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment Onboarding and core items/labs completed within 48 hours of contract signing Onsite orientation (12 hours) to align with unit protocols Epic charting resources and unit-specific training available PAY DISCLAIMER Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
