Senior Program Manager Location: San Ramon, CA Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — approximately 1 day per week reporting to Bay Area office locations (including but not limited to the Dublin Innovation office) Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months Pay Rate: $94.00–$98.00 / Hour (USD) Travel Requirements: Travel estimated at 1 day out of the work week to report to office locations within (but not limited to) the Bay Area. Mileage reimbursement available with prior manager approval when traveling to any location other than the Primary Business Location and if travel is more than 50 miles (one way) from home to that location. Overnight stays reimbursed if required. Job Summary The Electric Operations Strategy (EOE) organization provides enterprise-level strategic support and operational enablement for Electric T&D. The department partners closely with leadership to translate utility-wide priorities into executable operating processes, scalable pilots/solutions, and measurable performance outcomes. EOE serves as a connective layer between field operations, program execution, data and digital enablement, and enterprise strategy, ensuring that initiatives are prioritized, standardized, and delivered in a way that improves safety, reliability, affordability, and operational efficiency. The Program Manager, Electric Operations Strategy leads the planning, governance, and execution of a portfolio of strategic initiatives, programs, pilots, and projects that advance Electric Operations priorities. This role serves as a critical bridge between strategy and execution, providing structure, discipline, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure initiatives are prioritized effectively, delivered on schedule, and scaled for sustained operational impact. The Program Manager partners closely with operations SMEs, data/digital teams, and executive stakeholders to drive performance transparency, resolve cross‑organizational dependencies, and translate leadership direction into measurable, repeatable outcomes. This is a fast‑paced, high‑impact and high‑visibility role that puts this individual right in the center of the Electric strategy org, to enable catastrophic wildfire risk reduction, climate adaptation, climate mitigation, and improved affordability for the customers the client has the privilege to serve. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business need. Key Responsibilities Help define scope, conduct discovery, and align objectives of initiatives Support project/initiative planning end to end Align on roles and responsibilities with partners and relevant cross‑functional teams Maintain ongoing communications cadence with partner organizations Identify, analyze, and address project performance issues Ensure quality of project delivery, troubleshooting with pilot partners as needed to accomplish project goals Track and review project deliverables Communicate project status to internal stakeholders on a regular basis Coordinate partner projects with operations as needed Assess project risk and develop contingency plans; identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices Manage and be accountable for technical implementation plan across projects Create executive‑level PowerPoint presentations Coordinate and participate in field visits Support with various ad‑hoc requests supporting the Electric Operations Strategy team Required Skills Proven experience leading AI‑enabled programs , with the ability to translate emerging technologies into strategic initiatives, shape organizational direction, and drive cross‑functional execution at scale Strategic Leadership — ability to translate high‑level strategic requirements into executable plans and actions Cross‑Functional Influence & Coordination — proven strength in working across operations, technical teams, and enterprise stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and move complex, matrixed initiatives forward without direct authority Systems Thinking & Problem Solving — ability to understand how people, processes, and tools connect across the business landscape, identify root causes, and develop/plan structured solutions Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting leadership‑level updates and decision making Preferred Skills Background in utility, wildfire, forestry, and/or climate Ability to work effectively with senior staff members and management Ability to effectively collaborate with external regulatory, governmental, business, or customer groups Education Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business PMP Certification (preferred) Required Experience 4–6 years of experience managing programs/projects of related or relevant experience Experience leading or supporting programs, initiatives, or portfolios within operations, strategy, or operational excellence functions Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams or initiatives simultaneously Experience working in a cross‑functional, matrixed environment with operations and business stakeholders Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund Important Notes Local candidates only — must be able to travel to Bay Area office locations.
