Accounting Manager, Client Reporting

The Role

This role at Metropolis is looking for an Accounting Manager of Client Reporting with great people skills. The Client Reporting Manager will be tasked with supervising, monitoring and maintaining all day-to-day and month-end close processes for assigned regions. In addition, you will set targets, implement guidelines, and assist with team development. You will ensure that all members understand the team's objectives and work together to achieve it. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent active listening and communication skills, and be able to function in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid role in Nashville TN. 

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate and timely account reconciliations


• Interpret legal contract terms and translate them into financial accounting requirements


• Maintain procedures to ensure accurate and timely payments to Property landlords and clients as required by contractual terms


• Review and prepare monthly reporting packages for managed and leased clients, including account reconciliations, variance account analysis and journal entries


• Review and approve journal entries


• Manage location specific outside audit engagements


• Assist in budget preparation 


• Maintain proper staffing and effectively monitor individual workload, as well as effectively managing staff performance


• Develop and maintain strong client relations, attend client meetings as needed


• Complete ad hoc projects as requested 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance


• 7+ years of professional accounting experience


• Experience using ERP and Accounting Systems


• A minimum of three years of management/supervisory experience


• Advanced Excel skills, Google Suite experience preferred


• Ability to maintain a cohesive work relationship with clients, the operating team and staff. Strong interpersonal/analytical/team building skills. Detail Oriented 


• Project management skills 


• Working knowledge of GAAP 


• Ability to work effectively in a matrix-organization that incorporates direct and indirect reporting

Base pay is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
