JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a leading manufacturing client in North Vernon, Indiana. This individual will partner closely with the HR Manager to support a fast-paced plant environment of over 200 employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, HR reporting, and compliance while serving as a trusted resource for both hourly employees and leadership. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across all facets of HR, including talent acquisition, attendance management, labor relations, safety initiatives, and HR analytics. Day-to-Day:
-Support the HR Manager with daily HR operations for a 200+ employee manufacturing facility.
-Serve as backup to the HR Manager as needed.
-Process unemployment claims and employment verification requests.
-Track attendance and prepare attendance-related documentation.
-Complete personnel change notices and maintain employee records.
-Coordinate recruiting efforts including job postings, screening, interviewing, and job description updates.
-Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
-Process background checks and pre-employment requirements.
-Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation.
-Support employee relations and labor relations matters.
-Participate on the facility Safety Committee.
-Compile and publish HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, headcount, and vacation reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
-2-4+ years of Human Resources experience.
-Experience supporting recruitment activities and onboarding
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
-Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities
-Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
