Sr Lead Software Engineer Python

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal software engineering training or certification, plus at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
• Proven background with sell-side analytics platforms such as J.P. Morgan Athena, SecDB, or Quartz.
• Strong experience in software architecture and design, with a primary focus on Python development.
• Ability to design and build applications and APIs that support the Markets Data Lake platform.
• Experience developing microservices and real-time services, including Kafka streaming.
• Background in big data technologies and the AWS Cloud Platform.
• Experience with AWS Lake Formation and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to architect scalable, efficient solutions aligned to a federated data lake model.
• Strong systems engineering and software development capabilities.
• Experience delivering high-performance, highly available, scalable systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and debugging skills.
• Preferred: experience building APIs and foundational platform components.
• Preferred: strong SDLC approach and familiarity with agile ways of working.
• Preferred: experience in DevOps, infrastructure design, or transformation roles.
• Preferred: experience with scripting and compiled languages such as Python.
• Preferred: comfort working across multiple platforms and languages.
