Overview Agricultural Equipment Operators require certification/license where applicable, valid driver requirements, and may involve drug screening, physical lifting, and exposure to extreme temperatures. The role includes operating large farm equipment and machinery with GPS for cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, and harvesting grain and oilseed crops such as soybeans, corn, hay, and wheat. Responsibilities Operate large farm equipment and machinery equipped with GPS such as tractors, planters, sprayers, and combines for cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, and harvesting grain and oilseed crops (soybeans, corn, hay, wheat). Operate swather, raker, baler for swathing, raking, baling, and stacking hay. Adjust in-field settings of machinery (flow rate of planter and sprayer, threshing settings of combines) and monitor screens to ensure proper operation. Walk fields to remove off-type weeds; assist with operation and maintenance of center pivot irrigation systems for watering crops. Work outside in adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, dirt, heat, and cold. Basic reading and math skills; speak English; maintain records of work performed on machinery and equipment. Operate forklift for loading/unloading material; drive farm vehicle to obtain inputs for raising crops; perform minor and incidental daily upkeep to equipment and the worksite. Three (3) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the listed job duties. Must be able to obtain an appropriate driver's license following hire and maintain a clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Be subject to drug screening; may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employer's drug-free and alcohol-free workplace policy, including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
