Staff Audiologist FGP Manhattan Otolaryngology Per DIem

NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health. Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Staff Audiologist (FGP) - Manhattan, Otolaryngology, Per Diem. Under general medical direction, with broad latitude for independent action, the Staff Audiologist plans, administers, directs, and controls a hearing therapy program in a major hospital or health‑care service. Responsibilities Provide full‑spectrum diagnostic audiology testing to all patient referrals. Dispense and fit hearing aid devices. Administer and interpret behavioral and electrophysiological measures (air/bone conduction, speech reception and discrimination, otoacoustic emissions, immittance testing, ABR). Evaluate, fit, and dispense amplification devices; counsel and train patients on device usage. Document all information in patient chart and prepare written reports. Communicate findings to referring physicians or other professionals in the patient‑care team. Ensure patient follow‑up for services as needed. Perform other audiology duties and any tasks assigned by department leadership. Complete and adhere to all department and medical‑center policies and requirements. Participate actively in clinical trials when appropriate. Supervise and mentor staff audiologists, students, and/or CFYs. Maintain a neat, orderly work area and professional demeanor at all times. Ensure service excellence by adhering to established principles of behavior. Comply with HIPAA and all applicable safety guidelines. Identify and report equipment performance issues and patterns in patient populations. Minimum Qualifications Doctoral degree in Audiology or a related field from an accredited institution. NY State license in Audiology (required); NY State Hearing Aid Dispensing license (preferred). Three to five years of related clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of recent (within the last ten years) full‑time, paid, professional clinical experience diagnosing audiological problems or performing hearing rehabilitation. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and take initiative. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Effective communication with all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications None.
