Pediatric Neurology Oncologist (MD/DO)

Inova Children’s and Inova Schar Cancer Institute are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist to join our Inova Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized children’s health system and contribute to the continued expansion of comprehensive pediatric specialty care throughout Northern Virginia. This full-time position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Your role includes: Deliver coordinated, multispecialty care to patients with brain tumors and other neurologic oncologic conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.Participate in multidisciplinary pediatric oncology care with a team that includes pediatric neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuro-radiology, clinical research, genetic counseling, pediatric palliative care, nutrition, and psychosocial support.Participate in the inpatient care team Provide clinical teaching and in-service education to medical students, residents, and fellows.Engage in pediatric oncology clinical research projects and studies, including translational efforts.Participate in multidisciplinary pediatric neuro-oncology care with a team that includes pediatric neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuro-radiology, clinical research, genetic counseling, pediatric palliative care, nutrition, and psychosocial support.Our team includes 9 experienced Pediatric Hematology-Oncology physicians and 9 advanced practice providers who diagnose, manage, and treat all forms of childhood cancers, blood disorders, and bone marrow failure syndromes.About Inova Children’sInova L.J. Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Hematology-OncologyExperience: successful completion of pediatric residency program and successful completion of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship.
