Job Summary and Purpose AccountantI: Provides financial information by preparing reports, maintaining accounting records and general ledger, and analysing accounts and programme expenditures. Duties and Responsibilities Approves AP vouchers and codes expenses and charges Analyzes general ledger account and programme financial situation Provides financial analyses, participates in budget preparation Prepares documentation for internal and external audit Prepares monthly billing and drawdown Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures complying with federal, state and local financial requirements Corrects errors by posting adjusting entries in Great Plain Accounting software Prepares monthly, quarterly, yearly close‑out reports for funders Maintains simple accounts and balance reconciliation Other duties as required Essential Duties Incumbent must report to the office. Qualifications Requirements Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflicts dealing with difficult, uncooperative, and possibly aggressive clients.
