Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist

Location: Lubbock, TX
Duration: 26 Weeks (Possible Extension)

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
• Schedule: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Shift Options:
  • 4x10-Hour Shifts
  • 3x10-Hour Shifts
• Every Other Weekend Required
• Block Scheduling Available

Compensation

Weekly Pay: $2,300 – $2,850/week
(Based on experience)

Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed Inpatient Pharmacist for a travel assignment in a trauma center setting. The pharmacist will primarily work overnight shifts supporting inpatient pharmacy operations and medication management services. During the assignment, there may be a temporary transition to day shift coverage based on department needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital and pharmacy policies
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations when appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal medication management
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records, patient documentation, and medication profiles
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations
• Support pediatric inpatient pharmacy operations and clinical initiatives as needed
• Participate in medication safety and quality improvement activities
• Maintain inventory control and medication storage standards

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacist License required
• Previous inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Ability to work overnight shifts and rotating weekends
• Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity healthcare environment

Preferred Experience

• Pediatric or trauma center pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy systems preferred
