Mechanical Machine Builder

Location: Fairfield, NJ

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00/hour

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Machine Builder to join our manufacturing team in Fairfield, NJ. This role is responsible for assembling, installing, and testing custom industrial machinery and automated equipment according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete machines from blueprints and technical drawings.

• Install bearings, shafts, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic components, and drive systems.

• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine shop equipment.

• Align, fit, and adjust machinery to ensure proper functionality and quality standards.

• Troubleshoot assembly issues and make mechanical modifications as needed.

• Assist with machine testing, start-up, and final equipment inspections.

• Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clifton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
