The Medical Technologist IV position provides medical technology services in a hospital or other laboratory setting, under the direction of a physician or medical director. Responsibilities include establishing procedures, maintaining a laboratory unit, performing laboratory tests, and other related duties as assigned. This class of work may perform the most difficult and advanced tests, examinations, and analysis in one or more specialized fields of medical technology, and assist in the general operation of a large laboratory. Qualifications License: Current Clinical Laboratory Technologist license issued by the Department of Health, State of Hawaii. Specialized experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional medical technologist experience involving a variety of laboratory procedures on samples of body fluids, tissues and other materials; at least one (1) year comparable to the next lower level.
