If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a EH&S Engineer located in Columbia SC.Reporting to the EH&S Manager, the Environment Health & Safety Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the manufacturing facility. This role serves as a technical resource to all departments, supporting occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, ergonomics, emergency preparedness, workers' compensation.Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:Serve as the primary EH&S resource for manufacturing operations, engineering, maintenance, and support functions.Conduct routine facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.Review equipment, machinery, and facility modifications to ensure appropriate safety controls are incorporated during design and installation.Recommend and implement engineering, administrative, and PPE controls to reduce workplace risks.Support environmental compliance programs, including waste management, air emissions, stormwater, wastewater, and spill prevention initiatives.Investigate injuries, illnesses, near misses, environmental incidents, and property damage events.Maintain OSHA 300 logs and other required compliance documentation.Promote employee engagement through safety committees, behavior-based safety initiatives, and awareness campaigns.Here is some of what you’ll need:Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.Equivalent combination of education and EH&S experience may be considered.Minimum 7 years of hands on Environmental, Health & Safety experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA and applicable State regulations.Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.Ability to influence all levels of the organization and drive safety culture improvements.Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or related certification.Lead Auditor certification in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.#LI-YV1#LI-EA1#LI-EA42#LI-SS26#LI-AA01#LI-CH12#LI-MS14#LI-CC11#LI-EC37#LI-JS21What you'll receive for the great work you provide:Full range of medical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition Reimbursement Application Deadline:Applications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
