Job Description:

This position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients in a 4-bed Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), focusing on post-operative recovery and complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Nurses in this role must exhibit high levels of professional competency and are supported by a cardiovascular educator.

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and surgical conditions.
• Engage in post-operative recovery with complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Participate in biweekly orientation and demonstrate proficiency in required skill sets.

Requirements:

• AHA BLS and NIHSS certification required. AHA PALS preferred if working in pediatric unit.
• AL or Compact License (No temp Licenses accepted).
• 2 years of recent CVICU experience is required.
• Must have ASN degree.
• Pass two attempts at a Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding.
