Cybersecurity Intern, Security Operations - SkillBridge Eligible

Job Overview We are BD, a global medical technology company dedicated to advancing health. As part of our Cyber Fusion Center (CFC) team, we are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to support threat hunting, incident response (IR), and other cybersecurity activities. This internship is part of the BD SkillBridge Fellowship Program and is available to transitioning service members. Program Highlights SkillBridge Fellowship: Opportunities for service members in their last 6 months of active duty, up to 180 days. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for BD compensation or benefits while in the program. Successful completion may lead to a full‑time role depending on business needs. Location: In‑office role based in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Participants may work remotely during the fellowship, with the expectation to transition to the Franklin Lakes office if hired full‑time. Responsibilities Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents. Participate in threat hunting activities to identify potential security threats. Support incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation. Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. Assist in the development and implementation of security operations policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members to improve security posture and incident response capabilities. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to analyze security data and conduct basic threat hunting and research on emerging vulnerabilities. Strong collaboration and communication skills to support team‑based incident response and contribute to security policies and procedures. Preferred Skills and Experience Foundational understanding of cybersecurity operations, including security event monitoring, threat detection, and incident response processes.
