Production Shift Manager

The Production Shift Manager will coordinate the production, maintenance, and sanitation within the assigned area. The shift Manager will work towards achieving the goal of producing high-quality, cost-effective potato products. The Production Shift Manager directs the personnel assigned to him or her in the areas of job training, duty assignments, task prioritization, timekeeping, recordkeeping, employee relations, corrective actions, safety, performance management, and employee communications. Responsible for ensuring all shift employees are trained and adhere to company and regulatory personnel safety policies, programs, and procedures, including GMPs and HACCP.

Knowledge and Skills: Experience in a manufacturing environment managing a team of employees, production processes, quality, and safety. Knowledge of food safety and GMP's; Must be able to read, understand, and adjust when necessary gauges, meters, and computerized controls; Ability to keep accurate, complete, and legible records in English.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of all production activities, including food safety and quality, production volumes, blend back, waste reduction, efficiency goals, water usage, maintenance, sanitation, and employees in the immediate area of responsibility.
• Ensures line settings established by management and product specifications are maintained. This includes ensuring all products are produced in accordance with specifications, SOPs, and bills of materials.
• Manages employees' time, delegates and assigns duties to ensure full and effective use of the workforce.
