We are currently hiring an experienced MDS Coordinator who will function in a Unit Manager-level leadership capacity with a strong focus on resident assessments, care coordination, staff accountability, and clinical outcomes.

This role blends MDS expertise with hands-on nursing leadership. The MDS Coordinator partners closely with interdisciplinary and nursing leadership teams to ensure regulatory compliance, reimbursement accuracy, and high-quality resident care.

Schedule and Employment Type

• Full-Time Days | Monday - Friday (8AM - 4:30PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete resident assessments as the MDS Coordinator

• Oversee unit-level nursing operations in a leadership capacity

• Ensure compliance with MDS timelines and regulatory requirements

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to care plans and documentation standards

• Monitor resident outcomes and proactively address clinical concerns

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and communication

• Monitor documentation accuracy and reimbursement impact

• Support audits, surveys, and quality initiatives

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical policies

• Serve in an on-call rotation with the rest of the nursing leadership team

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa RN license required

• MDS experience strongly preferred

• Prior unit management or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong organizational, leadership, and analytical skills

• High attention to detail and regulatory awareness
