Ensure a safe environment for the protection of patients, clients, employees, and visitors to the facility in such a manner as to comply with laws, regulations, and the standards of the accrediting agency.Responsible for the planning, developing, implementing and continuous improvement of nursing services to maintain standards of patient care in compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and State Licensing and Joint Commission requirements.Responsible for ensuring staffing is adequate for areas of responsibility in order to provide quality care and patient safety.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Nursing or a Bachelor's of Health Administration from an accredited college or university. Master of Science in Nursing or a Master's of Health Administration preferred.Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in acute psychiatric, mental health, medical-surgical, or emergency department settings required.Minimum of 3 years of nursing management or leadership experience required.Previous experience in addiction or psychiatric care highly preferred.Knowledge of Joint Commission, State, and CMS requirements
