Licensed Vocational Nurse I - Corrections

The Job

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Health Services Division is recruiting for Licensed Vocational Nurses I - Corrections who assist physicians, registered nurses and other health specialists in the treatment and care of patients in an adult or juvenile locked correctional facility. Duties include providing basic nursing care; collecting vital signs, blood, and specimens; and administering medications as directed. Incumbents in this class are expected to perform the full range of duties under close supervision while acquiring the experience and skill of a journey-level Licensed Vocational Nurse. CURRENT VACANCIES exist in the Sheriff's Department. The resulting eligibility list may be used to fill future vacancies in the Probation Department. Minimum Requirements

License: Must possess and maintain a valid Licensed Vocational Nurse license with the State of California. AND Certification: Must produce and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire. Note: License number and expiration date must be listed on the application to be eligible.
