Evening Shift/Tuesday - Friday, 10 hours 1200-2230.

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Certification

Required

• Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and organize surgical instrument sets and trays.
• Inspect instruments for proper function and safety before reuse.
• Perform sterilization using appropriate methods and monitor sterilization cycles.
• Prepare instruments for immediate-use sterilization when needed.
• Conduct daily and weekly cleaning of sterilization equipment and work areas.
• Perform diagnostic testing on sterilizers and endoscope processors.
• Maintain biological indicator testing records and sterilization logs.
• Process instruments for departments such as:
  • Emergency Room (ER)
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Radiology
• Manage and track loaner surgical instruments.
• Assist with operating room turnover and terminal cleaning.
• Pick and prepare supplies and instruments for upcoming surgical cases.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Follow infection control and hospital safety standards.
