Experienced Veterinarian / Surgeon

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian / Surgeon to join a busy, established small-animal veterinary practice in Southern California.

This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys a fast-paced clinical environment, performing surgery, client communication, and managing a diverse caseload . The practice has an established client base with strong demand for both medical and surgical services.

Candidates must have prior hands-on surgical experience. Surgical training is not provided for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical and surgical care to small-animal patients.

• Perform routine wellness examinations, diagnostics, internal medicine, and urgent care.

• Independently perform surgical procedures within the veterinarian's area of experience and competency.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate recommendations clearly to pet owners.

• Manage a diverse and active patient caseload.

• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.

• Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

• Provide client education and appropriate post-operative follow-up care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.

• Active or eligible veterinary license in California.

• Previous small-animal veterinary experience required.

• Strong, hands-on surgical experience required.

• Must be comfortable independently performing routine and appropriate surgical procedures.

• Surgical training is not provided; candidates must already possess the required surgical skills.

• Excellent communication and client-service skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the veterinary team.

• Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume practice environment.
