Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$2203.20/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance with clinical protocols throughout the childbirth process. Responsibilities: Assess and monitor fetal and maternal conditions throughout labor and delivery. Assist with sterile speculum exams, non-stress tests, reflex checks, and external fetal monitoring. Administer medications, IVs, and manage pain relief measures, including epidurals and postpartum analgesia. Support high-risk vaginal deliveries, including use of forceps and vacuum assistance, as well as C-section procedures. Provide neonatal and newborn care, ensuring safety and stability postpartum. Document all interventions and clinical observations accurately in patient records. Qualifications: Possess active KS or compact nursing license at submission with no pending applications. Hold current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications. Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience, including charge nurse roles preferred. Demonstrate proficiency in sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring, IV placement, and medication administration. Exhibit strong clinical judgment in managing high-risk labor cases and surgical procedures.
