SMG seeks a local Safety Advisor - Owner's Rep in the San Antonio area. The key function of a Safety Advisor is to oversee the safe operations and practices of powerline crews in the field and on right-of-ways (ROWs) demoing and erecting transmission structures and installing conductors and related equipment. Additional Information SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier. Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $195 amount for this project. Annual pay/merit review/increase. Requirements 5+ years of safety experience Experience with transmission and distribution construction, substation construction, new lines construction, access roads, etc. A degree in Safety or related fields is preferred OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course preferred Transmission & Distribution experience Physical Demands Of The Job May Include Moving long distances Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period Working in extreme weather Being exposed to loud noises Wearing personal protective gear correctly Join an elite group of Safety Professionals!
