Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success as a dedicated occupational therapy professional in an engaging educational environment! This onsite role begins as soon as possible and will extend through the end of the school year, providing vital coverage and continuity of care for students across two elementary schools.

If you are a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), your focus will be direct support of approximately 80 elementary-aged students, working 7.5 hours per day. Licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) will provide direct services, as well as clinical supervision for a COTA on one site, for a full 8-hour day. Unpaid lunch breaks are provided in both scenarios.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California OT or COTA licensure
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy highly valued
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and students
• Confidence in managing a diverse caseload and balancing responsibilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver school-based OT services, including evaluations, intervention plans, and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student participation and growth
• Accurately document services and maintain compliance with IEP and state requirements
• Supervise a COTA (for OTs)
• Provide insightful contributions to IEP meetings and student planning
