This position will be for  Marshall County Coal Resources and Ohio County Coal Resources  at Wheeling Longwall and Rebuilding . We are seeking hard working, motivated individuals. If you are interested in pursuing a career with great potential, we want you!

This is not an underground position. The work environment is on or above the surface.

Pay Type: Salary

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to efficiently and effectively cut/weld
• Must be able to perform rigging, climb ladders, to high elevations
• Must be able to cut metal and use necessary equipment to effectively do so
• Works to ensure that all safety practices, maintenance, and cost objectives are met or exceeded company expectations
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Read/interpret prints/schematics
• Maintaining and assembling structure
• Other plant related maintenance duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

• Up to one (1) year of maintenance experience is preferred
• Construction or related experience is preferred
• Rigging experience is preferred
• Welding and cutting metal are required

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation
  
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Underground training is not required
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Job duties will be performed on or above the surface. Those interested must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State surface certifications and successfully complete industry approved training courses
• Must be able to pass a post offer drug test and background check
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

JOB SCHEDULE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule (subject to the applicant’s religious practices)
• Must be able to work on heights and confined/close spaces
• Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
• Ability to push/pull as needed
• Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
• Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed
