PUBLIC NOTICE FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT OPENING TOWN ASSESSOR In accordance with the Personnel Policy for the Town of Seabrook, Section I, E. Promotion, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the town and the Seabrook Supervisory Employees Association, applications are being accepted for the position of full-time assessor. REQUIRED EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: College degree preferred. Certified New Hampshire Assessor (or ability to obtain within 3 months). Certified with the State of New Hampshire as an Appraiser Supervisor (or ability to obtain within 3 months). New Hampshire Certified General Appraiser preferred. Minimum of 5 years municipal assessing experience desired. Mass appraisal experience appraising residential, commercial and industrial property. Experience with CAMA systems, Vision preferred. All utility appraisals, including Seabrook Station, are currently performed by a specialized outside utility appraiser. Assessor job duties will include oversight of this contract as well as ensuring that this work is performed in accordance with New Hampshire law as well as interfacing with the utility appraiser to facilitate administrative needs of the outside appraiser. Administers and maintains the records of the Town’s Assessing Office, including assessment of all property, and listing and issuing warrants for collection of taxes. Oversees and completes a five year rolling revaluation. HOURS: 40 hours – salaried position. SALARY: $92,000 with an estimated comprehensive benefits package of $60,215 (based on a medical family plan).
